Collection of Information
We may collect information about you as part of processing the product or service that you have requested. These products or services include Pawnbroking, Buy Back, sale of goods, purchase of goods and/or third party cheque cashing.

Your information will be collected, processed and stored as part of your application for the product or service and for the purposes of managing the agreement. Information may also be collected processed and stored from public records and from third parties with your consent.

This information includes your title, name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number, address and other contact details, employment information, national insurance/driving licence/passport numbers, credit record, agreement history and copies of identity and address documentation. Photographic records and CCTV footage are also collected and stored.

By providing us with details, whether through the website, over the telephone, or in person, you are accepting the information collection, use and other business practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

We use your information to:
Communicate with you by telephone, email, SMS, or post using the contact details that you have provided

Manage your account

Prevent fraud and money laundering and for the prevention of other crime

We may use your data for the above purposes to fulfil our legitimate interest of managing our legal agreement with you and where otherwise required to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and where permitted by the GDPR.

Third parties to which we transfer, charge or assign your agreement or which provide services for us or to service for whom we act as an Agent. For example, information is transferred to Cheque Exchange Ltd to enable the provision of Cheque Cashing.

 If we undergo re-organisation or are sold to a third party, you agree that any information we hold about you may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party.

 We will not otherwise transfer, disclose, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required or permitted to do so by law.

Storing your information
The personal information you provide to us is processed and held in the UK and within the European Economic Area (EEA). If we transfer data outside the EEA we will ensure that before we do so, there is adequate protection in place to ensure the security of your data.

 We keep your information for as long as it is needed to manage your account and for a maximum of six years unless a longer period is required by law.

 Collection of Telephone and CCTV recordings and images

 Bath City Pawnbrokers may record telephone conversations, photographs and CCTV images to offer you additional security, resolve complaints, for staff training purposes, to improve our service standards, for fraud prevention measures and for the avoidance of crime.
